Heartwarming 50th Anniversary Letter

Congratulations! You have been married for 50 years. That might be strange to explain to some people but I hope you know that you are fortunate to have a strong and devoted marriage. As this past year has rolled by, there is one thing that was always on my mind – your 50th wedding anniversary letter.

50th Anniversary Letter

  • Our 50th anniversary marks a milestone I could never forget. People say 50 years is a long time but you have been by my side for more than half of my life. We have always been friends and lovers but now more than ever I can’t imagine my life without you by my side.

  • You have been with me through thick and thin, good and bad times. You have laughed when I laughed and cried when I cried. You still make my heart skip a beat after all these years. It is for you that I have persevered my love for life itself. I could never ask for a better husband. Happy 50th anniversary!

  • 50 years ago today, I had the pleasure of meeting you. And now here we are 5 decades later still going strong. I couldn’t be happier or more in love with you. You’re the love of my life, my rock, and my everything. Today we celebrate our amazing relationship, so many wonderful memories, and a lifetime together filled with happiness and joy.

  • We’ve been together for so long that I can hardly remember what it was like before. You have been a true treasure. The best part of the day is coming home to you. Your kind and gentle warmth ease my weariness, and your laughter fills me with delight. My love for you grows more every day, and I am grateful that we have had so many good years together.

  • I want to thank you for being such an important part of my life and supporting me throughout the years. I appreciate your friend for many more years to come!

  • Dear Mother, As the years go by, I realize how much we have in common and I know now that you must be my best friend. You’re a great listener and give good advice. You’re creative, imaginative and a great gift-giver even if your packages are always tampered with by my sister. Thanks for being there for me always through the years and never letting me down. I LOVE YOU!

  • We have seen a lot together. Both joy and pain, both laughter and tears. I am glad that I was able to be by your side through all of it. You are my best friend and the love of my life. I have so much to thank you for, I can’t even begin where to start. But rest assured, I will always love you and appreciate you.

  • Dear Mom and Dad, I want to thank you for teaching me about the real things in life: loyalty, friendship, grace under pressure, and above all, love. I was truly blessed to be born into a family as wonderful as you two. I hope that you both find happiness in this next phase of your lives together and I hope that it will last as long as you desire. Always, Your daughter

  • Dear husband, I want to thank you for always being there for me in every way. I love how you are always looking out for my best interest, our children, and your friends. You are a wonderful man to have as a husband and I am so happy we both found each other. I know that our 50th anniversary is soon but I wanted to tell you everything now, completely, honestly and without a doubt.

  • I have loved you for 50 years. The last 50 years have been the best years of my life. Seeing you grow and change, become a wife, a mother, and a grandmother has been a true blessing. You are my best friend my love. Thank you for sharing life with me and making it so wonderful. I’m looking forward to the next 50!

  • Happy 50th anniversary! Our love has not faded over time, it’s gotten stronger with time. We have been through it all together as we have grown older, but our marriage is still as solid as ever. These past 50 years have been a beautiful journey and we thank God every day for bringing us together.

  • I wanted to write this anniversary letter to explain how much you’ve done for me. You influenced me in so many ways. You were like a father figure when I had none and you showed me what it was like to love so deeply. Thank you for everything that you have taught me over the years. I will treasure this letter forever.

  • We’ve been through a lot together. Some of it was good, some of it was bad, but together we have built an amazing life and family for ourselves. I am so blessed to have you in my life and especially look forward to the next 50 years!

  • Love is a beautiful thing. I’m lucky to have you in my life. Whether it’s your smile, your gentle touch, or your warm heart — my life has become more meaningful just knowing you. Congratulations on this wonderful anniversary and many more to come!

  • I promised my love that I would write her to every day, and although it has been a rough few years I want you to know that I will always be here for you. In the good times and the bad. No matter how bad things may seem remember this “I love you.

  • We’ve been through a lot, and sometimes I thank my lucky stars that you are still here, with me. Love you and miss you.

  • I had a great time with you last night. We have so much fun when we are together. I am feeling very lucky to have met you. We have been through so much and I am overwhelmed by the love we still share for each other 50 years later.

  • 50 years ago we fell in love and have been inseparable ever since. We have had children, bought a house, dealt with loss, and have grown together. I cannot imagine life without you. You are my best friend — my other half! I love you!

  • We have often thought about how lucky we were to meet and fall in love. How fortuitous that we both lived to this point in our lives. As we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary, I am filled with so much joy. It is my prayer that I will be able to share the next 50 years with you.

  • Dear Mom! I’m writing this letter to you as a gift, to thank you for such a great life. In all the years we have been together, you’ve done so much for me. Through the good times and bad, I know that you were always there. Thank you for being my mom! Happy anniversary!

  • All I can say is that I’m so glad we are family. You and your husband have always been kind and nice to me, and that has meant a great deal to me over all these years. Thank you for being such good neighbors, friends, and relatives. We’ll miss you always!

  • I have weathered the years since I met you, with your love for me as my anchor. I have said before and will say again, “I love you,” a thousand thousand times.

  • Happy 50th anniversary to the two of you! Your love has lasted half a century and it is so great to see that there is still so much love between the two of you. It seems like only yesterday you were young, in love, and celebrating this amazing milestone. On behalf of your friends and family, we wish you fifty more years of happiness!

  • Dearest, 50 years! That is a long time for two people to be married. You are an inspiration to us all: with your dedication to each other and your love for life. LOVE comes in all shapes and sizes. May this be just the beginning of a happy and healthy long life together!

  • For 50 years you have been my first love. You still make me feel young with your funny ways, your sweet voice, and how you always tickle my tummy so I can laugh. You are the best husband in the whole world and I can honestly say I do not regret a single moment of our love story.

  • I am so lucky to have known you for so long and still love you after all these years. You have always been there for me, as I have always been there for you. Surely our love will last forever! Let’s spend the rest of our lives being happy and enjoying everything this life has to offer. After all, every day together is a blessing!

  • A lifetime has gone by since the day that you said “I do”. More months than I can count, more years than we can imagine, nothing could ever change the way I feel about you. Not bad times, or problems, or even distance between us. You are my sunshine and my heart’s desire. I love you, dear!

  • We have traveled so many miles together and over all this time I have felt your love for me grow strong. Your loyalty gives me joy and your kindness warms my heart. You are the best thing that ever happened to me, my loving husband and you forever will be.

  • You are everything I could ask for and more. We’ve been through so much together and we are still here. Sometimes I want to pinch myself to make sure this is all real. I love you more than anything in the world and I am so grateful that you were brought into my life.

  • You’re the reason I get up every morning, you’re the reason my day is so wonderful. You are my sweetheart; without you, life would be uneventful and monotonous. Thank you for being in my life and showing me love every single day that goes by. I’ll never stop loving you and will always be right here by your side throughout time.

  • We met in high schools, like so many other young people. However, we were different than them and still are today. I will love you until the day my breathing stops and the pain ends that comes with a broken heart. You are my world, my family, and the best part of me.
